RIPPED Water Bootcamp

A mix of high intensity, resistance, and cardio moves in the water.  The water workout promotes building of lean muscle and increased cardiovascular fitness.  The workout is designed to incorporate interval training, plymoterics, resistance and a cardio burst!  Participants will use a variety of equipment!  Expect a challenging and FUN workout!  Athletic swimwear or sports bra and spandex is required.  Classes will be held in the lap pool/diving well.  This is an intermediate to high intensity class.  Max of 10 participants so register quickly to reserve your spot.

Join the IRON FIT CHALLENGE and experience high-intensity, full-body workouts, specifically designed to "make it rain" sweat!  From circuit-style routines that jump-start cardio fitness, to creative muscletoning exercises using TRX BANDS, BATTLE ROPES, TRACTOR TIRES, KETTLEBELLS or even the participant's body weight!  Each training session brings its own unique challenges.  These workouts are designed for intermediate to advanced participants.

Mat Pilates

Pilates mat classes focus on developing core strength, flexibility, balance and stamina. The instructor presents the exercises at multiple levels which allows students to choose to work at a beginning and intermediate pace. Students learn to be aware of breathing patterns and spinal alignment while engaging the deep muscles of the core. Various props (e.g. flex bands, light weights, foam rollers* and balls) are incorporated to enhance and intensify the workout. Basic Pilates experience is necessary to participate in this 4 week specialty class.

*Please bring your own 36” foam roller to class!

Start With the Breath, Pranayama
Sunday, January 7th from 1-3pm
Instructor: Kathi Reeves

If you can breath, you are doing yoga.  In this 2 hour workshop we will start our exploration of the breath with a 3 part (or 3 layer) breath. adding Ujjai Breath (Ocean Breath), Simhasana Pranayama (Lions breath), Tibetan Joyous Breath, Kapalabhati breath (Skull Radient or Breath of Fire) and finishing with Nadi Shodhana, (Alternate Nostril Breath).  We will put them all together in a gentle yoga flow class.  This practice is gentle, but getting up and down on the mat will be part of the class along with down dog.

The Yamas and Your Practice 
Sunday, February 4th from 1-3pm
Instructor: Kathi Reeves

We will start this workshop with a gentle stretching and breath work.  We will have a discussion on the 5 Yamas (Restraints) and how they can affect our own practice by using the book The Yamas & Niyamas: Exploring Yoga's Ethical Practice, by Deborah Adele as a discussion guide.  We will continue with the yoga practice, but now we will bring the awareness as to how we are treating ourselves in our practice. This workshop is 2 hours.  The reading of the book is not required for this workshop, but is encouraged.

Restorative Yin Yoga Practice
Sunday, March 11th from 1-2:30pm
Instructor: Kathi Reeves

“We don't use our body to get into a pose; we use the pose to get into our body.“
In this 1 1/2 hour workshop we will be exploring yin yoga postures.  Yin Yoga deliberately targets the deeper connective tissues. Yin gives your body a chance to open up.  We will cover basic yin poses for the lower and upper body.  Class size is limited to 10 participants.
