Make up policy – Safari Island does not offer make up lessons for classes missed due to schedule conflict, illness, or injury. If Safari Island cancels lessons, a prorated credit refund will be issued. This can be used for the purchase of additional lessons only. When the facility schedule permits and Safari Island has canceled lessons, a make up lesson may be scheduled in lieu of credit refunds.

Wait list registrations – If a particular swimming lesson is currently at capacity, parents are highly encouraged to sign up for a wait list. The wait list does not guarantee a space in that particular class. The wait list is used when adjustments can be made to swimming lessons and enrollment can be increased. The Aquatics Director will evaluate the wait list registration numbers and open additional class space as staffing permits. When this happens, Safari Island will call individuals, in registration order, to enroll them in the lesson off the wait list. Individuals have 24 hours to respond to wait list calls before the registration option moves to the next on the list.

We have ADULT Swim Lessons - please scroll all the way to the bottom of page for more information!

Children ages 5 years and older

We are excited to offer quality swim lessons to our members. All swim instructors are certified Water Safety Instructors with the American Red Cross. We will use the first day of class as an assessment day to make sure that all students in each class are close to the same ability level. Please keep in mind that a student does not always advance a level each session. Many factors such as attendance, coordination, growth spurts, development, and maturity level affects the students’ progression through the levels. Remaining at the same level should not be interpreted as not improving or not achieving success. * A portion of time during this session will be dedicated to safety issues and skills.
