*Skills may be performed with assistance.*
Preschool 3
Recommended Age: 3-5 years

Instruction Area: Rec Pool

Pre-Requisite Skills: Swimmers should be comfortable in the water and able to fully submerge their face below the surface.

Course Objectives: Swimmers will continue developing early swimming coordination by engaging in combined arm and leg movements on their front and back. Swimmers will also develop greater water comfort and safety, including opening their eyes underwater, blowing bubbles, and returning to the surface independently.
Level 1
Recommended Age: 5+

Instruction Area: Rec Pool

Pre-Requisite Skills: Swimmers should be able to demonstrate basic water independence, including moving short distances in the water without instructor support, fully submerging their entire body, and comfortably participating in skills away from the pool wall.

Course Objectives: Swimmers will practice combining arm and leg actions to swim on both their front and back with minimal assistance. They will gain confidence in floating on their front and back.
Level 2
Recommended Age: 6+

Instruction Area: Lap Pool

Pre-Requisite Skills: Swimmers should be able to swim short distances independently using arm and leg movements on both their front and back. They should also be able to float on their front and back without assistance for brief periods.

Course Objectives: Swimmers will learn to swim short distances using front crawl and elementary backstroke without instructor support. They will improve floating and gliding skills on both their front and back, begin developing introductory treading techniques, and start practicing rotary (side) breathing for the front crawl.
Level 3
Recommended Age: 7+

Instruction Area: Lap Pool

Pre-Requisite Skills: Swimmers should demonstrate complete independence in the water, including swimming short distances on both their front and back without instructor assistance. They should be able to perform floating, gliding, and introductory treading.

Course Objectives: Swimmers will refine front crawl and elementary backstroke.
