Fitness

At Safari Island Community Center we want you to be as healthy and fit as possible! We offer the latest fitness classes, equipment, personal training and more to help you achieve your goals.

Group Exercise

Available to ages 12+

  • Classes are FREE to members

  • Specialty classes are $10/members and $12/non-members

  • Classes are held on a first come, first serve basis

  • Childcare is FREE to members; non-members pay daily admission (M/W/F 8:30-11:30am, M/T 4:30-8pm, Sa 8-10:15am)

  • Studio doors open 10 minutes prior to class start time

  • Fitness Class Punch Cards are available: 10 classes for $73

Weekly Group Exercise Updates

  • Alissa will be teaching the 8am Rise & Grind class on Saturday, September 27th.

  • Courtney will be teaching the 10am Hatha Flow Yoga class on Sunday, September 28th.

  • Join us Monday, September 29th at 9:30am for the Seniors Cardio Drumming class with Leanne! March to the beat of your own drum while you have a ball. Cardio drumming takes a simple movement, drumming, and turns it into a full-body workout that will leave you smiling, sweating, and feeling great. *You will be drumming on the chairs during this construction phase!*

  • Jackie will be teaching the 7pm SHiNE Dance Fitness class on Monday, September 29th.

  • Mona will be teaching the 5pm Hatha Flow Yoga class on Tuesday, September 30th.

  • Jackie will be teaching the 6pm UPLIFT and 7:10pm SHiNE Dance Fitness classes on Tuesday, September 30th.

  • Allyson will be teaching the 12pm Butts & Guts class on Thursday, October 2nd.

  • Allyson will be teaching the 12pm HIIT Strength class on Friday, October 3rd.

  • Sarah will be teaching the 8am Rise & Grind class on Saturday, October 4th.

  • Teresa will be teaching the 10am Hatha Flow Yoga class on Sunday, October 5th.

  • Leanne will be teaching the 4:30pm Barbell Strength class on Sunday, October 5th.

Weight Room

Weight Room

Safari Island Community Center has cardio equipment and a large selection of strength equipment.  Individuals 15 years of age and older are permitted to use the fitness facilities.  Children 13-14-year-olds can use the Weight Room with a parent AFTER competing a Youth Orientation.  Email Kristi Sherlock (ksherlock@waconiamn.gov) to schedule a Youth Orientation.

Registration required

ADVANCED registration is required.  Class registration will close online 6 hours before the class starts.  You can register up until the start of class time at the Front Desk. Both members and non-members can participate in any of our specialty group workouts.  Spots are available on a first come, first serve basis.
